Office 365 Credentials Stolen at 40% of Enterprises

A new survey from Osterman Research, sponsored by Cyren, shows that successful phishing attacks and compromise of Office 365 credentials are common. After interviewing over 300 large organizations in the US and UK that deployed Office 365, Osterman Research issued a new report showing that, on average, organizations with 5,000 or more employees suffer one email-related security breach a month, and 40% reported that Office 365 login credentials were compromised during the past year. Beyond security statistics, the survey delves into issues like:

  • How companies are going about securing their Office 365 instance
  • What are the actual costs of email threat remediation
  • How they’ve modeled their SOCs, and how they’re handling user reporting of suspicious phishing emails, among other topics.
