The recently released Commtouch Q3 2007 Email Threats Trends Report shows that global spam levels reached as high as 95% during the last three months.
Every quarter when we report this statistic we say to ourselves ‘Wow, that’s really high! It couldn’t possibly get any higher,’ and every ensuing quarter spam proves it can. Altough 95% was a temporary peak and levels have since steadied at just 90%, this still leaves a few percentage points of potential growth before the Internet is officialy engulfed by junk email. Anyone want to bet it won’t be higher by new years?
